Comedy horror show Beetlejuice retold through the songs of The Beatles, by Rob Kemp.
Rob Kemp brings Beatlesjuice to Theatre@41 on Thursday 4 February 2027. It's a comedy horror show that retells the story of Beetlejuice through the songs of The Beatles, with Kemp as the sole performer on stage.
If you're familiar with the original Beetlejuice—the story of a bio-exorcist ghost who helps a living couple haunt their own house—you've got the basic plot. Kemp takes that and runs it through the Beatles songbook, using the music to drive the narrative. It's a one-man show, so he's handling the storytelling and the songs himself, and the whole thing sits in that comedy horror territory where the jokes and the ghosts run side by side.

It's a specific kind of mash-up: a cult horror character and the most famous pop songs in history, both held together by a single performer. If you've got a soft spot for either, it's a good place to start. The show is at Theatre@41 in York, and the date is Thursday 4 February 2027.
