A chilling stage show inspired by the Paranormal Activity film series, featuring a new story in live action at the Grand Opera House.
Paranormal Activity comes to the Grand Opera House from Tuesday 29 September to Saturday 3 October, a stage show inspired by the horror film series of the same name. It's a new story told live on stage, not a remake of the movies, so you don't need to have seen them to follow what's happening.
The plot follows James and Lou, a couple who move from Chicago to London to escape their past, only to find that places aren't haunted, people are. It's an original story that reimagines the horror of the films with a fresh plot for the stage, rather than just recreating scenes from the screen.
There's a proper creative team behind it. It's directed by Felix Barrett, founder and artistic director of Punchdrunk, and written by playwright Levi Holloway, who also wrote Grey House. The cast features James Bye as James, Hannah Sinclair Robinson as Lou, Jo Castleton as Etheline Cotgrave, and Caroline Faber as Carolanne.

It's aimed at adults and younger horror fans, and it's recommended for ages 15 and up. The show runs for around two hours, with an interval in the middle. Tickets are on sale online, and it plays at the Grand Opera House in York from 29 September to 3 October.
