Chart star JP Cooper performs an intimate, stripped-back set at the Menfulness Live 2026 event, discussing his journey in men's mental health.
JP Cooper is playing the Grand Opera House on Saturday 29 August as part of Menfulness Live 2026. It's his first York show since 2023, when he played the York Barbican, and this time he's the headline guest for an evening focused on men's mental health.

Cooper, who's from Manchester, is doing a stripped-back set rather than a full band production, and he'll be talking about his own journey with mental health alongside the music. The whole night is put on by Menfulness, a York-based men's mental health charity that's built a social community for men to get together, play sport, have a laugh, and talk things through in a friendly, non-judging environment. The event is aimed at adult men, so it's as much about the conversation as it is about the gig.
If you've followed his chart success, you'll know the voice, but this is a different way of seeing him — just the songs and the stories behind them, with the mental health side of things taking centre stage. It's a paid event, and tickets are available through the Grand Opera House website and atgtickets.com/menfulness-live/grand-opera-house-york.
