A live stage adaptation of the podcast 'Joe Marler Will See You Now', featuring Joe Marler and Jake Bhardwaj with a celebrity guest each night.
Joe Marler is bringing his podcast to the stage at York Barbican on Wednesday 28 October, as part of his Joe Marler Will See You Live tour. It's a live adaptation of his podcast Joe Marler Will See You Now, and the format is pretty straightforward: Marler welcomes a different celebrity guest each night and spends the session picking them apart with his observational style, with his co-host and research assistant Jake Bhardwaj on hand to help him get inside their head.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, you'll likely know him from the rugby pitch. Marler is a former England international who retired in 2024, and he's become a bit of a household name since then, partly thanks to a stint in the first series of The Celebrity Traitors. The podcast itself is a Platform Media original and has pulled in 8 million long-form streams and 137 million social media views, so this is the recorded show finally moving onto a stage.
Jake Bhardwaj isn't just playing the sidekick here, either. He's a presenter in his own right, hosting Not Another Quiz Night and Saturday Night Live's 5toLive, and he's the one doing the legwork behind the scenes to feed Marler the ammunition he needs for the guest of the night. Between the two of them, the show works as a conversation that's as much about the guest as it is about the way Marler reads them.
