Stand-up comedy night featuring Alex Kealy, with support acts for Jack Dee and Phil Wang.
Alex Kealy plays Theatre@41 on Saturday 2 October 2027, a stand-up night with Kealy as the main feature and a support act to open. If you're not familiar with him, he's a sharply witty, almost sexily cerebral comic who performs at a breakneck pace. He's a regular on BBC Radio 4, where you'll hear him on The News Quiz and The Now Show, and he co-hosts the Gig Pigs podcast with Ivo Graham.
He's not a newcomer to the circuit, either. His show was a Best Show nominee at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2026, and the critics have been generous: one called him a whimsical funnyman, and another described the show as career-defining. That's a fair bit of momentum to bring to a York stage, and the 'breakneck pace' is a good shorthand for what to expect — it's the kind of set that keeps moving, rather than lingering on a single point.

It's a 14+ night, so it's not one for the very young, but it's open to most. If you've heard him on the radio or the podcast and want to see how it translates live, this is your chance. The show is at Theatre@41 on 2 October, with Kealy taking the main slot and a support act to warm things up.
