Evening of mindful doodling with gratitude and affirmations, opening with breathwork and a guided meditation, with art materials provided and a potluck-style dish or treat.
Anne Marie Kearney is hosting a mindful art night at the Lotus Pond Center for Yoga and Health on Friday, October 23, from 6 PM to 8 PM. The evening is built around doodling, but with a specific focus on gratitude and affirmations, so it's more about the process than the final product. You'll spend the night playing with creative design patterns and working toward a calm, centered mindset.
It doesn't start with the art, though. The session opens with grounding breathwork and a guided meditation to settle you in before you move into the doodling. You'll be working within the Lotus Pond surroundings, and all the art materials are provided, so you don't need to bring your own supplies. You'll take home whatever you create. It's designed for first-timers and practicing artists alike, so you don't need any background in drawing to join in.
Kearney is a Tampa native and an artist who's also a mother of three adult children, and she's deeply connected to the Lotus Pond community. She completed the center's 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program and is continuing with the 300-hour advanced program, drawing on the teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda to help students breathe, release tension, and find connection in the present moment. She's known for a gentle, compassionate, and exploratory approach.
