Dia de los Muertos multi-course dinner with alternating courses and cocktails from Epicurean Hotel and Con Amor, inspired by the Mexican holiday.
Epicurean Hotel is teaming up with Con Amor for a Día de los Muertos dinner on Friday, October 30, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The whole night is built around the Mexican holiday devoted to honoring and remembering loved ones who have passed, and the food follows suit, drawing on the flavors, ingredients, and traditions of Mexico.
What makes this one a bit different from your usual tasting menu is how it's put together. Instead of one kitchen handling the whole meal, the courses alternate between the two. Epicurean Chef de Cuisine Andrea Paulino and Con Amor Executive Chef Taylor Dillon each take a turn, so you'll get a course from one, then a course from the other, and so on throughout the evening. The drinks work the same way, with cocktails coming from both kitchens as the meal progresses.
It's a multi-course dinner, so you'll be sitting for a while—the three-hour window from 6:30 to 9:30 PM gives you plenty of time to work through the courses and the cocktails without feeling rushed. The whole thing takes place at the Epicurean Theatre inside the hotel, at 1207 S Howard Ave in Tampa.

Tickets are $130, and since it's a seated dinner with a set menu, you'll want to book ahead. If you're looking for a way to mark Día de los Muertos with a full meal and a few drinks, this is a good spot to do it.
