Tribute band Toast performs Bread's classic soft rock hits live at The Sheldon.
Toast brings their tribute to Bread to The Sheldon Concert Hall on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The show is presented by A Toast to Bread L.L.C., and the set is built around the songs of Bread, the soft rock band that helped define the sound of the early seventies.
If you're not familiar with the original band, Bread put 13 hits on Billboard's Top 100, with "Make It With You," "If," "Baby I'm-a Want You," and "Everything I Own" still turning up on lite-rock radio. Rolling Stone noted that they virtually invented soft rock in the early seventies. These are the songs Toast will be playing live, and they're the ones that keep the music going now that Bread's two surviving members, David Gates and Robb Royer, have retired.
Toast describes themselves as the No. 1 tribute to Bread and one of the most acclaimed tribute acts in the world. They aim for a sound that's spot on to the original recordings, and they're praised for recreating the signature harmonies, rich arrangements, and unmistakable sound of the seventies. The whole point of the act is to keep Bread's music alive in a live setting.
