Gala celebrating The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis' 60th anniversary with cocktails, a seated dinner, live entertainment and an after-party.
The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis is celebrating its diamond anniversary with The Producers Ball on Saturday, May 15, 2027, at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. It's the signature event of the season, marking 60 years since the company was founded in 1966. The night takes its name from the people who have shaped the theatre over six decades: the Rep uses "producers" as a term that includes its artists, audiences, donors, sponsors, community partners, staff, volunteers, and board members. The ball is meant to honor all of them.
It's a full evening that moves through a few different acts: cocktails to start, an elegant seated dinner, live entertainment, and an after-party to close it out. The proceeds go directly back into the work—exceptional artists, ambitious productions, and the Rep's community outreach. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the theatre relies on this kind of support to keep its stage running.
For a bit of context on where the company stands these days, the Rep is one of the region's leading professional theatre companies. In its 2026-27 season, it drew 3,800 subscribers, and the 2025-26 season brought in 38 Theatre Circle Award nominations—a record for the most nominations for a theatre company in a single year. That's a lot of recognition for one season's work.
