Stand-up show headlined by Roy Wood Jr., former correspondent on The Daily Show, at The Pageant as part of the Flyover Comedy Festival.
Roy Wood Jr. headlines The Pageant on Saturday, November 14, as part of the Flyover Comedy Festival. If you've followed him for a while, you probably know him from The Daily Show, where he spent eight years as a correspondent from 2015 to 2023. He guest-hosted the show in 2023 and headlined the White House Correspondents' Dinner to its highest ratings since 2017.
There's a lot more to his work than just the news desk. He's an Emmy-nominated documentary producer and a WGA-nominated writer, and he's spent as much time on screen as he has behind the scenes. His fourth stand-up special, Lonely Flowers, premiered on Hulu on January 17, 2025, and he hosts CNN's Have I Got News for You, an American adaptation of the long-running UK comedy series. On the acting side, he co-starred with Jon Hamm in Confess, Fletch (2022) and has guest spots in Only Murders in the Building, Better Call Saul, and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. He also stars alongside Keanu Reeves and Jonah Hill in the comedy Outcome.
And if you prefer reading to watching, he just put out his first memoir, The Man of Many Fathers, published by Crown in October 2025. Between the stand-up, the hosting, the acting, and the book, there's a good bit of ground he's covered lately.
