Seattle R&B and soul septet The Dip, with its three-piece horn section, plays Delmar Hall in St. Louis.
The Dip play Delmar Hall on Saturday, October 24, with DJ Orlandez Lewis opening the night. They're a Seattle-based septet that blends vintage soul and R&B, built around poignant songwriting, detailed arrangements and a tight three-piece horn section that draws on early soul, funk and jazz.
They've put out four full-length studio albums. Sticking With It, from 2022, hit number one on the Billboard Current R&B Albums Chart, and 2024's Love Direction was their second with Dualtone Records. On the road, they've headlined and sold out shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco, 9:30 Club in Washington DC, Webster Hall in New York, Scoot Inn in Austin and The Showbox in Seattle. They've also supported The Black Pumas and The Teskey Brothers and played festivals like Bonnaroo and Outside Lands. KEXP has featured them in sessions dating back to 2018-2019 and called them "one of the most exciting and joyous acts to emerge in recent years."
