The Afghan Whigs play Delmar Hall with Night Moves on the North American leg of their Soft Control tour.
The Afghan Whigs play Delmar Hall on Sunday, November 15, as part of their Soft Control tour. The Cincinnati rock band is bringing the new record to the stage, and the North American leg of the trek kicks off in early November with Night Moves opening.
Soft Control is the album the tour takes its name from, and it's a long oneβ22 songs in all. It was recorded across four different studios: Fireside Sound in Joshua Tree, Marigny Studios in New Orleans, Gold Diggers Sound in East Hollywood, and Sycamore in Cincinnati. Frontman Greg Dulli describes the record as reflecting a more self-aware and mature phase of his life, less driven by the unchecked ego and rage of his youth. He's also spent time on photography and other art forms lately, and says he's found a quiet confidence and inner peace. The tour itself is a large-scale global run that takes the band through the UK, Europe, and North America.
