Special Event: Jalen Hinton

Jalen Hinton is playing Helium & Elements Restaurant on Tuesday, December 29, at 7:30 PM. He performs under the name J.One.8, and he's a St. Louis native, so this is a hometown show for him. If you've come across his clips online, you've probably seen the brand he's built around clean, family-friendly comedy that leans on sharp wit and relatable stories. It's the kind of set you can bring your parents or your kids to without worrying about where the jokes are headed.

That clean approach has worked out for him. He's built a following of over 3 million across social media, and his work has led to collaborations with Universal, Amazon Prime, and Starz. Seeing him live in St. Louis is a good chance to catch him on his own turf, doing the stand-up that's made him a name beyond the city.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you head over. The show is at an 18+ venue, so you'll need to be of age to get in. Seating in the Showroom is a mix: general admission is first-come, first-served, and there are reserved seats assigned by management. There's also a two-item minimum of food or drink for everyone in the Showroom, so you'll want to order a couple of things while you're there. The show starts at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, December 29, at Helium & Elements Restaurant.
