Mexican-American singer-songwriter Lupita Infante plays The Hawthorn on Washington Avenue in St. Louis.
Lupita Infante plays The Hawthorn on Saturday, December 5, with doors opening at 6:30 PM and the show running from 8 PM to 11 PM. Tickets are $28.30.
Infante is a Mexican-American singer-songwriter and a leading figure of a new generation of música mexicana, rooted in tradition but comfortable reinventing it for today. Her name is instantly recognizable to tens of millions of Mexicans: she is the granddaughter of Pedro Infante Cruz (1917-1957), one of the most beloved singers and actors of the 20th century. She studied ethnomusicology at UCLA, where she joined the Mariachi de Uclatlán, the oldest university mariachi in the US, and graduated in 2017 after working as a Lyft driver to pay her way. She has earned two GRAMMY and two Latin GRAMMY nominations, and was the only female artist nominated for Best Regional Song at the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards.
In May 2025 she released her third studio album, La Corona es Mia, and has since toured the US and Mexico opening for Pepe Aguilar, Los Angeles Azules and Mariachi Vargas. Her hits "Flor Sin Realeza" and "Ya No Vuelvas" carry her signature heartfelt delivery. The St. Louis date is part of that ongoing run, bringing her latest material to a room in the city.
