Free employment and resources fair for veterans at the Hope Recovery Center VA, sponsored by the Office of the Treasurer.
The Gateway ID Card - VA Employment & Resource Fair comes to the Hope Recovery Center VA on Friday, November 6, from 10 AM to 2 PM. It's a day built around two things that usually take a lot of separate trips to sort out: finding a job and getting your resources in order. The fair is sponsored by the Office of the Treasurer, and the whole thing is free to attend.
On the employment side, the focus is on veterans looking for their next move. You'll find employers there who are specifically looking to hire veterans, so you can talk to them face-to-face rather than sending a resume into a digital void. If you're in a transition period and not quite sure what's out there, it's a good place to see who's hiring and what the roles actually look like. The resource side works the same way—instead of calling around to different offices to figure out what you're eligible for, you can get answers in one room.
Between the two, the day is aimed at motivated veterans who want to connect with meaningful resources and career pathways. Whether you're looking for a new job, trying to navigate your benefits, or just want to see what's available, having both under one roof saves a lot of legwork. It's the kind of event where you can walk in with a few questions and walk out with a better sense of where to go next.
