All-ages concert by reggae artist Matisyahu at Delmar Hall, with VIP packages available.
Matisyahu plays Delmar Hall on Saturday, December 5, as part of the Festival of Lights. He's a St. Louis-based artist, and this is a local show for him.
He's been at this since 2004. He grew up outside New York City following jam bands like Phish and the Grateful Dead, and later found in Bob Marley and reggae that the messaging of Rastafarianism stemmed in part from the Old Testament—the same roots that inform his Judaism. His sound has always sat at that intersection, blending reggae with his spiritual and Jewish roots. You can hear it across his early records, like the 2005 Gold-certified Live at Stubb's and the Grammy-nominated, Billboard No. 1 Youth from 2006. His 2009 antiwar song "One Day" has been streamed over 150 million times on Spotify. His most recent release, the 2024 EP Hold The Fire, draws on a fire dream inspired by his Old Testament religion.
