Chat Pile plays Delmar Hall on its 'Who Loves The Sun Tour 2026', with support from Soul Glo and Shallowater.
Chat Pile bring their Who Loves The Sun Tour to Delmar Hall on Saturday, November 21, with Soul Glo and Shallowater opening. It's an all-ages show, and there's a strict no-cameras, no-audio, no-video policy in place.
Chat Pile is an Oklahoma City noise rock quartet that formed in 2019. They describe their music as a suffocating, grotesque embodiment of the existential anguish that has defined the 21st century. The lineup is Stin on bass, Captain Ron on drums, Luther Manhole on guitar, and Raygun Busch on vocals. They first put out the EPs This Dungeon Earth and Remove Your Skin Please before their debut full-length, God's Country (The Flenser, 2022), which earned universal critical acclaim, including Pitchfork's Best New Music and spots on Rolling Stone's Best Metal Albums of 2022 and SPIN's Best Albums of 2022. In 2023, they released Brothers In Christ, a split with Lingua Ignota.
Soul Glo opens the night. They spent years honing their drum tones in an unfinished warehouse for their full-length Diaspora Problems, which they produced largely independently between 2016 and 2021. Sharing the bill is Shallowater, a Texas slowcore band formed in Lubbock in 2021 and now based in Houston. They call their sound "West Texas dirtgaze," a blend of slowcore, alt-country, and post-rock.
