Live show by roots and blues band Bywater Call, fronted by Meghan Parnell, with Hubb and The Heavy Hearts at Old Rock House.
Bywater Call are playing Old Rock House on Sunday, October 25, with Hubb and The Heavy Hearts on the bill. It's part of a North American tour they're running throughout 2026, and the set will draw from their newest record, Broken Souvenirs.
Broken Souvenirs is eleven tracks recorded at Palace Studios in Toronto and produced by Dave Barnes and Patric McGroarty. It pulls together vintage soul, blues, contemporary R&B, roots rock, and Americana, and it's the latest in a run of releases that have put them on the map. Their 2024 album Shepherd was named Classic Rock's Blues Album of the Year, and their 2025 live album Sunshine earned critical praise. The band has also picked up its third consecutive nomination for International Act of the Year at the UK Blues Awards.
Fronted by Meghan Parnell on vocals, the lineup includes Dave Barnes on guitar, Bruce McCarthy on drums, Mike Meusel on bass, Andrew Moljgun on keyboards, Stephen Dyte on trumpet and valve trombone, and Julian Nalli on saxophone. With a full horn section on stage, they've got the numbers to bring the soul and R&B side of the record to life rather than stripping it down.
