American Sign Language Halloween storytime for children ages 8 and under, followed by crafts and social time.
Carpenter Library is hosting an ASL Spook-tacular Storytime on Saturday, October 31, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. It's a Halloween-themed storytime told in American Sign Language, and it's free to attend.
The session is built around the storytelling, but it doesn't stop there. Once the stories are finished, there's time for crafts and social time for children and families to hang out together. The whole thing is designed to be fully accessible for deaf children and their families, and it's open to children of all abilities. The library partners with DEAF, Inc. to put the program on.
