Annual Christmas concert by Andy Waggoner, part of the Notes from Home series, with special guests Nadia Maddex and Steve Schenkel.
Andy Waggoner returns to The Sheldon on Tuesday, December 1, for his annual Christmas concert. He's not playing alone this time around: Nadia Maddex and Steve Schenkel join him on stage, and the whole evening is presented by Notes from Home as part of that series.
If you've been around the St. Louis music scene for a while, you know the drill with this one. It's Waggoner's yearly holiday tradition, and having Maddex and Schenkel on board adds a few more voices and instruments to the mix. The set is built around Christmas music, and it's presented under the Notes from Home banner, which is the series Waggoner's holiday show belongs to.
The venue is The Sheldon, over in the Grand Center Arts District. It's a nonprofit arts organization that's been around since 1912, and it does more than just host concerts. Beyond the hall, they run STEAM programs, an All-Star Chorus led by Maria A. Ellis, and the REPLAY instrument donation program, which gets instruments into the hands of people who might not otherwise have them. The concert is part of the Notes from Home series, and the whole thing is presented by them.
