The Project X Freshers House Party

The Project X Freshers House Party is back at Engine Rooms on Wednesday 16 September, one of the big Southampton dates for Freshers 2026. The whole thing is built around the film Project X — the idea of a house party that gets completely out of hand — and they're scaling it up to a club setting with thousands of freshers expected to turn up.

It's not just a DJ set, though. They've got party games, giveaways, and entertainment running throughout the night, and free Domino's pizza for the crowd. There are also T-shirt giveaways and raffle prizes to win. The main room covers a broad mix of chart, commercial, house, hip hop, and R&B, so it's designed to work for a big, mixed crowd rather than sticking to one specific sound.

On the practical side, it's an 18+ night, and you'll need a valid photo ID to get in. If you're buying tickets and then find out you aren't getting into university, they're refundable. It's worth keeping in mind that past editions, like Freshers 2025, sold out in advance, so if you're planning on it, getting yours sorted early is a safer bet than leaving it until the door.

It runs from 9:30pm on Wednesday 16 September through to 2:00am on Thursday 17 September at Engine Rooms, so it's a mid-week one that goes well into the early hours.
