The Lemonheads, the indie and alternative rock band fronted by Evan Dando, perform live at The 1865 in Southampton, supported by Bottlemoth.
The Lemonheads are playing The 1865 on Wednesday 23 September, with Bottlemoth opening the night. It's part of an extension to their 2026 tour, which adds new dates across the UK after frontman Evan Dando stepped away from the spotlight earlier this year to prioritise his health and personal well-being.
For those who know the name but aren't sure where to place it, The Lemonheads started as an indie, alternative and punk band in Boston, Massachusetts, and they're now based in Sao Paulo. Dando is the only consistent member, and his melody-driven tunes made him an indie favourite. The song structures on the earlier albums show clear punk and 80s-rock influences, and there's a hint of country in there too, most notably on his solo album Baby I'm Bored.
It's a bit of a long way from Boston to Southampton, and the tour's extension means they're playing a good few dates across the UK. The Southampton show is presented by Divergent Promotions, by arrangement with Motion Talent, and Bottlemoth will be supporting them on the bill.
