A tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival bringing their Cosmo's Factory Tour to The 1865, celebrating the band's classic 1970 album and timeless hits.
Creedence Clearwater Review bring their Cosmo's Factory tour to The 1865 on Friday 13 November, starting at 7pm. They're a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival, and this particular run is built around the band's classic 1970 album Cosmo's Factory, alongside the wider CCR songbook.
The set leans on the album's tracks, so you'll hear 'Who'll Stop the Rain', 'Run Through The Jungle' and 'Up Around the Bend', with the band's versions of 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine', 'Suzie Q' and 'I Put A Spell On You' filling out the rest. It's the swamp rock, roots rock and blues rock sound of the era they're after, and they go about it with vintage, original instruments and 60s-inspired outfits to match. Lead singer and guitarist Dale Taylor is at the front, and the whole thing is set against the backdrop of the Woodstock era and American rock of the late 1960s and early 1970s. There's audience participation and stories throughout, too, which they use to bring the band's history and John Fogerty's legacy to life.

Taylor has played The 1865 many times over the years, and he's described it as always a pleasure to play there, with a fun, singing crowd. It's a venue he knows his way around, so it's not a first-time visit. Tickets start from £24, and the show kicks off at 7pm on Friday 13 November at The 1865 in Brunswick Square, SO14 3AR.
