Space play The 1865 on Saturday 31 October, the Liverpool band bringing their tour to Southampton. It's one of twenty-one dates they're playing across 2026 and 2027, so this is one of the few times they'll be passing through the south coast during the run.
If you're not familiar with them, Space are an alternative rock band from Liverpool. They've spent their career drawing comparisons to a wide spread of Britpop and indie names from the same era: Pulp, Ocean Colour Scene, Manic Street Preachers, Suede, Cast, The Charlatans, Ian Broudie and the Lightning Seeds, James, Shed Seven, Happy Mondays, Ash and Paul Weller. It's a long list, but it places them firmly in that guitar-led, melodic sound that defined a particular stretch of British indie.
