Southern Brave v Birmingham Phoenix

Southern Brave take on Birmingham Phoenix at the Utilita Bowl on Friday 11 September, part of The Hundred, the 100-ball cricket competition that launched in the UK in 2021. It's a shorter version of the game than you'll find in the county circuit, with eight teams competing across the tournament, and Southern Brave call the Utilita Bowl their home ground here in Southampton.

There's a bit of recent history to bring to the table, too. In 2025, the Southern Brave Women's team went unbeaten through the group stage before finishing as runners-up, and the men's side has featured Jofra Archer, one of the biggest names in the game. If you're not usually one for cricket, The Hundred is a good place to start: it's faster than the traditional formats, and since the Brave play their home games right here in the city, it's an easy one to get to.

And the venue is built for more than just the match. There's hospitality on offer if you want to make a proper day of it, and BEEFY'S by Lord Botham is on-site for food. If you're travelling from further afield, the Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl has pitch-facing hotel rooms, so you can wake up and look straight out at the ground.
