Southampton Ghost Tours 2026

Southampton Ghost Tours are back for another run of dates this year, with the next one starting at Tudor House on Wednesday 22 July. It's an award-winning tour that's built a bit of a reputation around here as the city's most popular ghost walk, and it's easy to see why: it's not just someone reciting old stories. They bring in theatrical elements to flesh things out, so the storytelling has a bit of a performance to it rather than just being a lecture on the move.

The real draw, though, is the access. You get to go down into the city's historic vaults, which they describe as rare and atmospheric—the kind of space you don't usually get to step inside. From there, the tour takes you through the darker side of Southampton's past: tales of torture, execution and disease, and the grisly accounts of the French raids. Along the way, you'll come face-to-face with some of the city's most notorious spirits, including Sir John Dawtrey and the King's Guard.

If the July date doesn't suit, there are three more to choose from throughout the autumn. The next is on 19 August, then 30 September, and finally 27 November. The first three all run from 20:30 to 21:30, while the November one starts a bit earlier, from 20:00 to 21:30.
