A guided photo walk and tour around Tudor House and Garden, exploring Southampton's past and hidden spaces through photography.
Tudor House & Garden is hosting a guided photo walk and tour on Saturday 3 October, from 11am to 12.30pm. It's run by Southampton Cultural Services, the team behind Southampton Museums and Gallery, and it takes you through the house and garden with a camera in hand.
The walk does two things at once: it tells stories of Southampton's past, and it uses photography to look at some of the city's more unusual and hidden spaces. The idea is to see the place through a lens and notice things you might miss on a normal visit. You'll be guided through the site, so you don't need to know your way around the house or the garden beforehand.
One of the best bits is that you can bring whatever camera you've got. A phone works just as well as a pro DSLR, and they even welcome an old Polaroid if that's your thing. There's no need for any previous photography experience, so it's as much for someone who just likes taking snapshots as it is for someone who knows their way around a manual setting. It's open to anyone over 12, though it's not suitable for people with mobility concerns, so keep that in mind if you're planning to bring someone along.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Southampton and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
