A session of Yeehaw Bingo held at The OEC in Sheffield, a venue known for its entertainment and hospitality.
Yeehaw Bingo is at The OEC on Friday 16 October, another night of bingo in the venue's regular run of themed events. If you've never been, it's a bingo session with a country-and-western twist, so it's less about the quiet concentration of a traditional hall and more about the atmosphere. It's one of the many themed nights the venue runs, alongside drag bingo and seasonal celebrations, so if you're into that side of things, this is right up your street.
The OEC is on Penistone Road, and it's one of South Yorkshire's bigger entertainment spots. It was named a Venue of Distinction in 2024, and the programming there mixes live entertainment with gourmet dining and hospitality. On any given week, you'll find live bands, tribute acts, DJs, comedians and tribute nights from across the eras, as well as the drag bingo, themed parties and seasonal celebrations that this night fits into. The room itself has modern decor, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, and fully accessible facilities, so it's a comfortable place to spend an evening regardless of how you're getting there.
For those driving in, there are more than 400 free on-site parking spaces, which is a decent perk for a night out in Sheffield. The venue also handles private hire, so it's a spot that works as much for a big night out as it does for a hired party. It sits about 25 minutes, roughly 12 miles, from Chesterfield, making it an easy run for anyone coming from that direction.
