Free-entry vintage thrift event and kilo sale at Uni Central, with a £20-per-kilo sale on individual items capped at £25.
Uni of Sheffield's BEST Vintage Thrift Event & Kilo Sale is coming to Uni Central on Tuesday 20 October, running from 11am to 4pm. It's a vintage thrift event and kilo sale held right in the heart of the university campus, so it's an easy one to drop into during the day if you're around Broomhall.
The main draw here is the kilo sale, which works a bit differently from your usual shop. Instead of a fixed price per item, you pay by weight: £20 per kilo. There's no minimum or maximum spend, so you can pick up a single piece or a whole bagful without feeling like you've overcommitted. To keep things fair, individual items are capped at £25, so a single heavy coat won't cost you a fortune just because of its weight. It's the kind of setup that rewards a bit of digging—the lighter the item, the cheaper it works out.
Beyond the kilo sale, it's a vintage thrift event, so there'll be plenty of pre-loved clothing to sort through. If you're into second-hand shopping, it's a good chance to pick up a few things in one go rather than hunting across different shops. The whole thing is free to enter, so you can wander in, have a look around, and only pay for what you actually decide to take home.
