Festive cheese tasting evening by Homage2Fromage with eight themed cheeses, bread, crackers, fruit and chutney at Chop Shop.
The Ultimate Christmas Cheese Board is at Chop Shop Bar & Grill on Wednesday 2 December, from 7pm to 10pm. It's one of the nights in Homage2Fromage's Festive Fromage Tasting Party, which they've billed as a festive gathering to tantalise taste buds and fill guests with holiday cheer.
The evening is set up to be super fun and informal. You help yourself to eight curated, themed cheeses, running from firm favourites and softies to something a little more exotic, and hear the stories behind them as you go. Bread, crackers, fruit and chutney round out the spread, so it's a full board rather than just a few wedges. There's a 'Rule of Thumb' to follow, too: take a piece of each cheese about the size of your thumb, so everyone gets a fair go and little is left over by the end.

If you're bringing a group, there's a 'Table of Six' package that adds a reserved table, two plates of charcuterie and a VIP basket of gourmet extras, which saves £35. A couple of things to keep in mind before you book: some of the cheese isn't vegetarian or pasteurised, though there are no nuts. Tickets run from £22 to £120, depending on the package you go for, and the whole thing takes place at Chop Shop Bar & Grill, 1B Alma Street, Sheffield S3 8RY.
