Rock 'n' roll show by The Silverados, blending '77 punk, new wave and mod influences, at Yellow Arch Studios.
The Silverados play Yellow Arch Studios on Thursday 5 November, their first Sheffield date since returning to the UK. They're a Los Angeles rock 'n' roll band, and their live show pulls from '77 punk, new wave and mod influences — the kind of sound that sits somewhere between the raw energy of early punk and the sharper, danceable edges of the new wave that followed. It's a set that leans on the live experience rather than the studio, and the Sheffield show comes ahead of their forthcoming Practically Free EP, so you'll be hearing their latest material before it's officially out.
They've come back to the UK following sold-out London shows and viral live footage from The Marquis, and this is one of the dates that brings them north. The show is presented by Yellow Arch Studios, and they're the only name on the bill, so the whole night is built around their set. With a capacity of 180, it's a small room, and the 16+ policy means under-18s have to be accompanied by an adult.
