The Old Farmhouse Halloween

The Old Farmhouse in Sheffield is hosting an overnight paranormal investigation on Saturday 31 October, run by MCL Paranormal. It's a Halloween night that takes you inside the building after dark, and it runs through the small hours into Sunday 1 November.

The farmhouse is a historic spot with a following of reports of unusual activity, and the whole night is built around exploring it once the sun has gone down. Rather than just standing around and listening to stories, you're actually part of the investigation. Teams are issued specialist equipment and spend the night taking EVPs — electronic voice phenomena, the recordings of voices that aren't heard by the human ear — and holding spirit communication sessions. You'll be working alongside the MCL Paranormal investigators throughout the session, so you're not just left to your own devices.

It's a proper overnight affair, so you'll be there well into the early hours of Sunday morning. If you've ever wanted to see how a paranormal investigation actually works from the inside, this is a good way to do it, especially since you're given the gear to use yourself. Tickets start from £30, and the night kicks off at 20:00 on Saturday 31 October.
