Sheffield four-piece The N.S.O, mixing indie rock with blues, soul and funk, play the Hallamshire Hotel in a strictly 18+ night.
The N.S.O are playing the Hallamshire Hotel on Saturday 6 November, their only Sheffield date of the month. They're a local four-piece who formed in 2022, fronted by dual vocalists and songwriters Reece Howe and Josh Tallis, with Jordan Watkin on drums and Simon Barton on bass. The sound they've built around that setup is gritty indie rock mixed with blues, soul and funk, and they've picked up support from John Kennedy on Radio X along the way.
If you've followed them from the start, you'll know the singles that built their following: 'Do Ya', 'Thick As You' and 'Sunday Club'. They've spent the last few years working their way through the festival circuit, with slots at Tramlines, Bunkerfest, Doncaster Summer of Love, Be Reyt and Barnsley Live, and they've shared stages with Mark Morris and Neville Staple. This show is a headline date on their own turf, so it's a good chance to catch them without a festival timetable running around them.

2026 has been a busy one for new material. They've put out the single 'Release Me' and three EPs — Drifting Away, Dead Men and The Illusion of Happiness — so there's plenty of recent stuff to draw from for the set. Between those and the earlier singles, the night should pull from a fair bit of ground. The Hallamshire Hotel is at 182 West Street, S1 4ET, doors open at 19:30, and the night is strictly 18+.
