Stand-up comedy night at The Last Laugh comedy club, featuring a compere and four comedians.
The Last Laugh is back at Sheffield City Hall this Friday 16 October, with Barry Dodds, Ricky Balshaw, Katie Tracey and Pete Otway taking the stage in the Memorial Hall. It's one of the club's regular Friday and Saturday night slots, and this particular line-up brings together four comedians for a single evening.
If you've never been, it helps to know what The Last Laugh actually is. It's the oldest comedy club in the North of England and the longest-running in Yorkshire, and it's been playing at Sheffield City Hall for 20 years, having traded in the city for nearly three decades. Toby Foster, known from Phoenix Nights, curates the club, and it's run as a proper night out: a compere to hold the room, a handful of acts, and food and drinks on the table. The show draws on comedians from across Sheffield and the wider Yorkshire area, and it's held a run at the City Hall for more than 16 years.

General admission is £20, which comes to £22 with the booking fee. If you're going with a group, there's a guaranteed table of six for £120, or £127.50 including the fee. One thing to keep in mind before you head down: the venue doesn't allow bags larger than A3 size, so leave the big ones at home. The Last Laugh runs every Friday and Saturday night, so if this one doesn't fit your schedule, there's usually another one just around the corner.
