Fifth anniversary ghost tour led by Adrian Finney along Bunting Nook, one of England's most haunted roads, with tales of ghostly aircraft and a giant black dog.
Adrian Finney is leading The Infamous Bunting Nook Ghost Tour on Thursday 29 October, starting from the public footpath beside St James Church in Norton. It's a special one: the fifth anniversary of Strange Sheffield Ghost Tours, which Finney first led on Friday 29 October 2021. This walk retraces the very route that started it all.
Bunting Nook is described as one of England's most haunted roads, and the tour follows it through Graves Park and the Norton area. Along the way, Finney tells tales of ghostly aircraft, a trickster spirit said to be buried nearby, and a giant black dog with eyes of flame that has allegedly stalked the area for close to a thousand years. It's local storytelling in the open air, with the stories tied to the ground you're walking on.
The walk is organised by Strange Britain. It runs under a mile and is fully accessible, though there are some steeper sections to keep in mind. Free on-street parking is available at both ends, with the bottom of Matthew's Lane into Norton Church Road recommended as a starting point.
