Live show by The Guilty Men, the rock duo of Clive Gregson and Neil Cossar, at The Greystones in Sheffield.
The Guilty Men play The Greystones on Thursday 15 April 2027. It's a four-piece on the night: Clive Gregson and Neil Cossar, with keyboardist Jez Smith, bassist Craig Fletcher (of John Lees' Barclay James Harvest) and drummer Paul Burgess, who's been in 10cc since 1973.
Gregson and Cossar formed the band in 2021. They're lifelong friends, two of the Northwest's most seasoned musicians, and between them they've played more than 10,000 gigs, recorded thousands of songs and made countless radio and television appearances. Their story goes back to 1979 Manchester, where Gregson, then fronting Any Trouble, met Cossar, then guitarist in The Cheaters, through a mutual friend. Both bands ran their course: Any Trouble signed to Stiff Records and The Cheaters to EMI.
From there their paths diverged. Gregson built a following with singer Christine Collister, released more than 20 solo albums and spent 15 years in Nashville as a session musician and producer. Cossar became a radio DJ, founded a music PR company and launched the online brand This Day in Music. They came back together for this, and in 2024 released their debut album, Invisible Confetti, recorded the old-fashioned way with four featured lead vocalists and nods to Americana, country, folk, pop and psychedelia.
