Escape game for two with a cocktail and pizza at The Great Escape Game on Vicar Lane.
The Great Escape Game is running its escape room experience in Sheffield on Friday 30 October, from 19:00 to 21:00. It's a two-hour slot, so you've got a full evening to work through it. The venue is St. James House, Vicar Lane, Sheffield S1 2EX, right in the city centre.
If you haven't come across them before, The Great Escape Game describes itself as a multi-award-winning experience that brings together escape games, drinking games and museum exploration, all set inside a sleek, industrial-inspired interior. They run sites in both Sheffield and Leeds, so it's a bit of a local staple rather than a one-off.
Beyond the escape rooms, they also run Gameshow Allstars, which they bill as the UK's first TV gameshow activity bar. It's a nightlife attraction in both cities where you drink, eat and compete to see who comes out as the game show champion. They've had the likes of Google, Emmerdale, Red Bull, the BBC and Coca-Cola play it, and Harry Potter is listed among their partners.

When you're not in the rooms, there's freshly made pizza, a variety of drinks and spooky-themed cocktails at the Haunted Hound bar, and the venue hires out for private functions too. The session on the 30th runs from 19:00 to 21:00, and it's £29.70.
