Stage adaptation of Mark Haddon's novel, a whodunnit mystery about Christopher Boone, in a new staging at the Lyceum Theatre.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time comes to the Lyceum from Tuesday 13 to Saturday 17 April 2027, presented by Melting Pot and Birmingham Rep. It's a stage adaptation of Mark Haddon's novel, which sold 10 million copies and later became a National Theatre production. This is a brand-new staging, described as more thrilling than ever.
The story follows Christopher Boone, fifteen and gifted with a brilliant mind for numbers but ill-equipped to handle the unpredictability of people and everyday life. When a neighbour's dog is found killed, he becomes both detective and suspect, drawn into a mystery that grows darker and more complex. It's a whodunnit that doubles as a coming-of-age story, and critics have called it one of the most immersive works to reach Broadway, with praise from The Times, The New York Times, Time Out New York and the Evening Standard.
Joe McFadden takes the lead as Christopher, and Charlie Brooks plays his parents, Ed and Judy. The show runs about 2 hours and 30 minutes, including an interval, and is recommended for ages 11 and up.
