Weekly Thursday night where everyone speaks Spanish, with a dedicated table and games for beginners, at The Beaten Track.
Spanish Socials is back at The Beaten Track on Thursday 29 October, starting at 19:15. It's a Spanish language social night in Sheffield city centre, and it's not your usual language exchange. Rather than swapping between Spanish and English throughout the evening, the rule here is that everyone speaks Spanish all night. Native speakers are welcomed alongside learners, so you'll find a mix of both in the room.
If you're on the lower end of the scale, there's a dedicated table with easy games and prompts to help you keep the conversation going without feeling out of your depth. The group recommends a minimum level of around A2, so it isn't for total beginners — you'll want enough of a handle on the basics to hold your own in a conversation. If you're a native speaker, it's free to join in.
The night is run by Nory Sike, who bills Spanish Socials as the UK's first and only Spanish language retreat provider and community hub. This weekly meetup is just one part of what they do: the community also runs cooking courses, urban retreats, book clubs, and coffee-and-brunch afternoons, so if you're looking for more than just a one-off night out, there's plenty more to get involved with.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Sheffield and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's £3 per session, paid via BuyMeACoffee, or £7 a month for an unlimited membership if you're planning on making a habit of it.
