Valentine's weekend tribute night of Motown classics and modern soul with a themed disco and a two-course meal.
Soul Lovers Club is at The OEC on Saturday 13 February, falling over Valentine's weekend. It's an afternoon of soul music that runs from early afternoon through to the evening, with Motown classics and modern soul on the playlist and a themed disco to go with them.
The music is the main draw, and it's built around two eras: the golden age of Motown and the modern soul that followed. You'll hear the classics from the Motown years alongside more recent soul favourites, and the themed disco keeps things moving. The whole thing is billed as an afternoon of smooth grooves, Motown magic and modern soul energy.
There's a two-course meal included in the ticket, which is part of how The OEC does things. The venue specialises in tribute nights that immerse you in the era of the artist on the bill, and they use state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems to build that atmosphere. People who've been have praised the food, the service and the overall feel of the place.
