Six-hour day-long course at Silver Psaltpot to learn traditional silver jewellery-making techniques and leave with a bespoke piece.
Silver Psaltpot is running a silver jewellery making course on Sunday 28 February, from 10am to 4pm. It's a full day's session, six hours in total, held at their studio at 3 Brincliffe Crescent, Sheffield S11 9AW. The whole day is run by the studio, which teaches traditional jewellery-making techniques: hand forming, silver soldering, texturing and polishing. You'll work through those steps to leave with a unique, bespoke piece of your own, and that can include a gemstone if you fancy one.
It's worth knowing where this fits into what they do. Silver Psaltpot runs ongoing morning, afternoon and evening classes that follow the school term, alongside one-off specialist workshops like this one. The workshops are a way to try jewellery making before signing up for a full block, so if you're not sure you want to commit to a whole term, this is a good place to start. Both make a decent gift for friends or family, too.
