Annual fair with more than 40 stalls of home-made crafts by Sheffield makers, many using recycled materials, for Christmas shopping.
The Sheffield Peace and Craft Fair returns to the Reception Rooms of Sheffield Town Hall on Saturday 5 December, from 11am to 4pm. It's a fixture of the city's calendar that traces its origins back to Sheffield's radical seventies, and it's back in the same spot it calls home year after year.
Inside you'll find more than 40 stalls of home-made crafts by Sheffield makers, and a good number of them work with recycled materials. Because it's all made here in the city, it's a decent place to pick up a Christmas present that isn't something you'll find in every high street window. The fair is being run this year by Sheffield Action on Plastic, a group that works on reducing plastic waste across the city.

The venue is the Reception Rooms at the Town Hall on Pinstone Street, right in the city centre (S1 2HH), so it's easy to get to on foot if you're already around. It runs from 11am to 4pm, giving you plenty of time to wander through the stalls without having to rush. Entry is by donation, with a £1 minimum, and under-18s go in for free.
