Farrar's Fun Fair returns to the Utilita Arena Sheffield car park for October half term, with thrill rides and family rides.
Farrars Fun Fairs returns to the Utilita Arena Sheffield car park for the October half term, running from Monday 26 October through to Sunday 1 November. It's a familiar sight for anyone who's spent time around the arena during the school holidays — the car park fills with rides and stalls, and the whole place takes on a fairground feel for a week.
The setup is built around two different speeds. There are the thrill rides for when you're in the mood for something a bit more intense, and then the family rides that work for the younger ones. Between the two, it's meant to cover all ages, so it's as much for a family outing as it is for a few friends meeting up for a go on the bigger rides. It's the kind of thing that works just as well on a Tuesday afternoon as it does on a Saturday night.
It's a fixture that comes back to the same spot each year, and this time it's timed for the half term break, so it's open every day from Monday to Sunday. The gates are open from 2pm to 10pm daily, though the final day on Sunday 1 November closes a bit earlier, at 8pm. That gives you a good window to drop in whenever suits, whether it's a mid-week afternoon or a full evening.

Entry is £1 per person. The fair is in the Utilita Arena car park at 45 Broughton Lane, Sheffield S9 2DF. On-site parking is free, except on Steelers fixture dates when access is restricted to the Broughton Lane entrance only, so it's worth checking the schedule if you're driving in on a match day.
