School presents the musical 'School of Rock', about a substitute teacher who turns his students into a rock band, at Ecclesfield Secondary School.
Ecclesfield School is putting on School of Rock over three nights in January, with shows on Wednesday 20, Thursday 21 and Friday 22. It's a musical that follows Dewey Finn, a struggling musician who pretends to be a substitute teacher and secretly turns his pupils into a rock band. If you've seen the film, you'll know the story, but this is a full stage production with the school's own cast taking it on.
The shows run from Wednesday 20 through to Friday 22 January 2027, all starting at 19:00. With three nights to choose from, it's easy to fit in around your week, and since it's a school production, it's the kind of thing that brings in local families and students from across the area.
It's being staged at Ecclesfield Secondary School - Minerva Learning Trust, on Chapeltown Road in the Chapeltown estate on the north side of Sheffield. The school doubles as an accessible performance venue for theatrical and musical shows, so it's set up to handle an audience. If you're coming from the city centre, you'll be heading up towards the north of the city to get there.

Tickets are £11.55 and are sold through Eventbrite, so you can book your spot in advance. If your plans change, there are refunds available up to seven days before the show. Between the three dates and the 19:00 start, there's plenty of room to pick the night that works best for you.
