In-person book club where each attendee brings a book that means something to them and shares what it has meant to them, run by an NCPS Accredited Psychotherapist.
Reflective Book Club is running at Studio Comunita in Walkley on Wednesday 28 October, and it's not your usual book group. Instead of everyone reading the same title, you're asked to bring a book that means something to you — one that offered comfort, sat alongside you through a big life transition, or a favourite from childhood. Each person shares as much or as little as they like about the book and what it's meant to them.
It's a strictly bring-your-own-book format, so the evening is built around the books you already have on your shelves rather than a set reading list. The sessions are run by an NCPS Accredited Psychotherapist, and while they're described as a safe space to share and explore your chosen book, it's not a therapy group. The whole thing lasts about an hour and a half, and it's for over 18s.
