Practical evening with three speakers on the financial, legal and personal aspects of reducing working hours, stepping away from business or retiring.
Planning Your Next Chapter is a workshop running at the Mercure Sheffield Parkway Hotel on Wednesday 4 November, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It's put on by Gritstone Financial Planning Limited, an Appointed Representative of St. James's Place Wealth Management plc, and it's aimed at anyone within the next two to five years of reducing their hours, stepping away from a business or retiring.
The session works through the financial, legal and personal sides of life beyond work, and it brings together three different perspectives to pull the picture together. Steve Dawson covers what's financially possible; Fiona Morgan takes the legal considerations, including Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney; and Julie Mather looks at what people actually want life beyond full-time work to look and feel like. Between them, they cover the numbers, the paperwork and the personal side of the transition.

Gritstone frame it as a practical evening for identifying the questions, plans and conversations that deserve attention when work begins to take up less space. If you're in that window where you're starting to think about what comes next, it's a good place to get those different threads sorted in one go rather than chasing them separately. It runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mercure Sheffield Parkway Hotel, Britannia Way, Catcliffe, S60 5BD, and tickets are £25 per person.
