Mousse T.

Mousse T. plays Hangr Warehouse on Saturday 17 October, with Tom Wainwright and Trimtone on the bill. It's a Saturday afternoon start, with the first act on at 5:00 pm.

If the name doesn't ring a bell, you've almost certainly heard the records. Mousse T. is one of Germany's most influential DJs, producers and label owners, with a career that goes back more than three decades. His early global hits include 'Horny' and Tom Jones' 'Sex Bomb', the latter earning him a Grammy nomination and an Ivor Novello Award. He's worked with names like Quincy Jones, Byron Stingily, Roy Ayers, Andreya Triana and Randy Crawford, and his sound pulls soul, funk, jazz and disco into house music.

He also runs the Peppermint Jam label, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. When he's not in the studio, he's playing venues all over the world, including Hï Ibiza as part of his Glitterbox residency, Tomorrowland and the Montreux Jazz Festival. This is a Sheffield stop on that same touring circuit.
