Lord Mayor's Charity Dinner

The Lord Mayor of Sheffield is hosting a charity dinner on Friday 23 October, with the evening starting at 18:00. It's being held at Hirsty's Lounge at Hillsborough Stadium, over in S6 1SW, so it's a bit of a trek up to the stadium if you're coming from the city centre.

As the name suggests, it's a charity dinner, with the Lord Mayor himself presiding over the night. That's the whole of it in a nutshell: a dinner hosted by the city's first citizen to raise money for charity. If you've never been to one of these, it's exactly what you'd expect—a sit-down meal with the Lord Mayor as the host, and the evening's proceeds going to a good cause.

It's a straightforward one to keep in mind if you're looking for something to do on a Friday night that's a bit more formal than your usual pub trip. The venue is Hirsty's Lounge, which is tucked inside Hillsborough Stadium, so you'll be right in the heart of the club's ground. It's a good spot if you're already based in the S6 area, and easy enough to get to from elsewhere if you've got a plan for the evening.

It kicks off at 18:00, and entry is free. So, if you're around on Friday 23 October and fancy a dinner with the Lord Mayor for a charity cause, you've got the time and the place: Hirsty's Lounge at Hillsborough Stadium, starting at 6pm.
