Club night from Plot 22's LOCAL series, with Pour Decisions taking the floor through house, garage and drum & bass.
Pour Decisions take over Plot 22 on Saturday 28 November, as part of the venue's LOCAL series. It's a Sheffield-born grassroots night, and the music follows suit: they describe it as being built around vibe and atmosphere rather than a single genre, taking the floor on a journey through the softer side of house, garage and drum & bass. If you're not sure where that lands, it's the kind of set that lets the mood dictate the direction rather than sticking to one BPM all night.
LOCAL is Plot 22's way of backing the city's dance music scene, handing the reins to local crews to run their own nights and keeping ticket prices low. The venue itself is run by RiteTrax, a social enterprise that supports young people and vulnerable adults with access to music provision across Sheffield, so every ticket sold goes back into that work. It's a 120-capacity DIY room, and it's the city's only phone-free club—no phones on the dancefloor, which is a nice change of pace when you're actually there.
Beyond the club nights, Plot 22 hires out studio, equipment and venue space and runs monthly open decks nights. With venues like Tank having closed, the community support the place champions has become more important than ever. There's a zero-tolerance 'Safer Spaces' policy against discrimination and harassment in place, and it's 18+.
