Halloween breakcore night 'Vandals 5' by Spyral Productions at Plot 22, with Redskare, Girldick, Slav.Slicer, IffyHype, Ikonixx and NexusVayk.
Spyral Productions are back at Plot 22 on Saturday 31 October with Vandals 5, the fifth instalment of their Vandals series. It's a Halloween special, so the date fits the theme. The line-up is Redskare, Girldick, Slav.Slicer, IffyHype, Ikonixx and NexusVayk.
Spyral Productions is a Sheffield breakcore collective, and they've framed this one as a 'Vandals Halloween ritual' where 'deviants and dissenters are embraced'. They've invited people to 'dress as you wish' and to 'pay respect to our sacrificial lambs', so if you've got a costume you've been waiting to wear, this is a good place for it. The music runs from breakcore through to donk, happy hardcore and DNB, all held together by the Halloween theme.
Plot 22 is a DIY space in Castlegate, described as Sheffield's underground hub and the city's only phone-free club. It's more than just a dancefloor, though: they offer studio, equipment and venue hire, and they run the LOCAL series of nights to give local talent a place to play. It's a proper working space, not just a room for hire.
